Tascam DP-24SD: Your Ultimate 24-Track Recording Companion
Unleash your creativity with the DP-24SD, a 24-track Digital Portastudio that makes recording a breeze. With solid-state recording, a vibrant colour LCD, and intuitive channel strip controls, you'll stay in the creative zone.
• Record up to eight tracks simultaneously through its combined XLR and 6.3-mm combo jacks. Enjoy input processing like compression and limiting during recording, along with guitar amp simulation and multi-effects for instrument-level input.
• Once recorded, view tracks on the large display and mix with dedicated controls such as nineteen linear faders and a dozen channel strip encoders. Two mixdown effects, reverb and chorus, plus a mastering effect, are at your disposal. Transfer your finished songs to your computer via USB for further processing or sharing.
• The DP-24SD offers eight XLR-TRS combo inputs, allowing you to record up to eight sources at once and use up to 24 tracks for playback and mixing. Connect electrical guitars and basses directly to input H when set to guitar.
• Each track and input has independent semi-parametric equalizers, giving you professional control over each track's sound. The Q control lets you manipulate the bandwidth of a specific frequency range.
• An 8.9-cm (3.5') LCD screen and self-illuminated buttons ensure easy visibility, even in low light. Whether assigning inputs to tracks or controlling recording and muting, you're always in the know.
• Twelve rotary knobs, colour-coded to the LCD, quickly adjust settings like EQ, PAN, effect send, and more.
• The DP-24SD features twelve mono tracks and six stereo tracks. Ideal for recording synthesizers or other stereo sources on stereo tracks and guitar or vocals on mono tracks.
• Despite its numerous tracks and features, the DP-24SD is one of the easiest multi-track recorders to use. Nineteen track faders and one master fader provide instant access to any track.
• Use up to eight dynamics effects at once, one for each input source. Choose from Compressor, Noise Suppressor, De-Esser, and Exciter. Guitar multi-effects include Noise Suppression, Amp Simulation, Compression, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Auto Wah, and Delay. Use effects like Reverb, Delay, and Chrous for any track with the Send knob.
Note: When using the multi-effects processor, only four dynamics effects are available. The stereo reverb on Send/Return 1 is always accessible.
• Elevate your stereo master file with the DP-24SD's mastering tools. Create a master track without a computer using a 3-band equalizer, a 3-band compressor, and three normalize settings for peak amplitude adjustment.
• The DP-24SD uses SD/SDHC cards as recording media, offering maintenance-free operation and secure shock resistance with no moving parts. Simply insert a new SD card for more recording space.
• The file format is Fat 16 or Fat 32, enabling easy access to recorded files on your computer via USB. Import audio files from elsewhere to mix with your Portastudio recordings.
